It's quaint, it's on the better side of tasty, but it isn't awesome, mind-blowing, or even great. It's just a good burger at a not so good price.
I thought of this last night while eating a five dollar burger from the Outback kids menu. I also had a Royal Red Robin this week and I would rank both of those chain creations as good as a Zip Burger.
I'll never hate chain restaurants enough to pretend the Outback Bloomin' Onion isn't tasty. I got one for curb-side pickup, and added a Joey Burger to the order. A cheeseburger, loaded baked potato and a small Sprite for five bucks. They never questioned my lack of a child.
